Millennia Institute’s Student Well-being Framework: People, Place, and Programmes
At MI, student well-being is a whole-school effort. We believe that students thrive when care is visible and additional support is readily available when needed.
Our ‘People, Place, Programmes’ framework spells out our commitment to student well-being:
People: Strong teacher-student relationships and a supportive peer culture.
Place: Safe, inclusive, and welcoming spaces that build belonging.
Programmes: Meaningful learning experiences that foster self-discovery, resilience, and leadership.
A strong peer support culture is also central to student well-being at MI. Peer Support Leaders (PSLs) are selected and trained to promote
peer bonding (forging friendships and a sense of belonging),
peer helping (social-emotional support and active help-seeking),
and peer influencing (leading well-being initiatives as advocates).
Together, these commitments create a caring and enabling environment where every Millennian feels safe, seen, and supported to learn and lead.
