Objectives
The department aims to nurture students into scientifically literate learners, thinkers and leaders with good knowledge, skills, ethics and attitudes relevant to the Practices of Science. We provide meaningful and engaging learning experience for all science students to enable them to acquire sufficient understanding and knowledge to:
become confident and scientifically literate citizens in a technological world, and able to develop an informed interest in matters of scientific importance;
recognise the usefulness, and limitations, of the scientific method and to appreciate its applicability in other disciplines and in everyday life;
be inspired to pursue Science-related courses at university and, consequently, careers that are related to Science.
